The Milwaukee has been around since 1924 and the Milwaukee Electric Tool Corporation was established by A. F. Siebert so, you can say they know what they are doing when it comes to Tools.
One of Makita’s great accomplishments was their invention of the first ever lithium-ion cell design power Tools, and they released that technology with their revolutionary V28™ lithium-ion battery. The V28™ battery was able to allow more runtime and power than 18-volt traditional nickel-cadmium batteries that were available and Milwaukee now offered fade free performance and opened up opportunities for more powerful corded tools to become cordless, with their HIGH OUTPUT™ Batteries and M18™
The M18 Fuel Surge 1/4″ Hex Hydraulic Driver is one of their new drills that is benefiting from the innovation in technology that has come from the Milwaukee brand.

The M18 FUEL SURG Hex Hydraulic Driver has 450 in-lbs of torque with a speed range up to 3000 rpm and 4000 inches per minute (ipm) and it has enough power to complete any job you throw at it. This drill is has a FLUID-DRIVE Hydraulic Powertrain brushless motor and it is so much quieter and smoother than older One Key Impact driver model impact driver.
The 4-Mode DRIVE CONTROL™ provides greater control over output speed and power for greater versatility.
Self-Tapping Screw Mode is designed to reduce walking when starting self-tapping screws as well as reduce overdriving, breaking and stripping out screws.
The more compact 2760-22CT model is now available therefore you do have the option of purchasing the same Driver, that is the 2760-22 but, with the M18™ REDLITHIUM™ CP2.0 Battery(48-11-1820), instead of the M18™ REDLITHIUM™ XC5.0 Extended Capacity Battery Pack(48-11-1850) and also the M18™ & M12™ Multi-Voltage Charger(48-59-1812), instead of the M18™ & M12™ Multi-Voltage Charger.
