Dewalt is a company started way back in 1920 and they are still making big achievements in the Modern Tool industry and Raymond Dewalt has built a company that will be around for a very long time and if he could see the DEWALT DCD460T2 FLEXVOLT 60V Angle Drill, then I think even he would be pretty amazed at where Modern Tool Technology and Innovation has taken us, he had a vision and that was to help people to increase productivity and this drill is a great symbol of his companies achievements.
The FLEXVOLT 60V MAX* VSR™ Stud and Joist Drill with E-Clutch® System features a 1/2 in. chuck and brushless motor that provides corded power in a cordless solution. Ideal for plumbers, electricians, and HVAC installers who need to drill large diameter holes in wood. This drill provides exceptional power, control, durability, and runtime with its 60V brushless motor, E-Clutch System, mechanical clutch, and two variable-speed ranges. Power Performance
This 60V Right Angle Drill is not a light compact type of Tool, it is heavy hitter and really takes care of the hole boring jobs with ease and the 2 speed switch, which gives you up to 300 Rpm in first gear and up to 1200 Rpm in second gear, supplies plenty of power
There is a forward and reverse switch that is needed when drilling into those green lumber timbers or more compressed materials but, being a cordless Tool is what makes this drill so convenient and ideal for Tradies and Contractors.
Flex Volt – The world’s first battery that automatically changes voltage when you change tools.
The DCD460T2 has the DEWALT E-Clutch system, it is a feature that senses the motion of the tool and reduces the motor torque to a manageable level if necessary. The E-Clutch indicator located on the top of the tool will illuminate to indicate status.
In addition to the E-Clutch system some tools are equipped with a mechanical slip clutch. The clutch is active when the low speed (1) is selected. When the bit or cutter bites into the workpiece, the clutch will slip and a ratcheting sound will be heard. Release the trigger. Continued clutching of the tool will reduce the life of this feature.
